Egg freezing is becoming increasingly mainstream. In fact, one of the most significant trends in
assisted reproduction is an increase in the number of egg freezing cycles, both for donor egg
banking and for fertility preservation.
On July 16-19, Reproductive Partners–San Diego co-hosted the world’s leading annual international fertility conference, the 30th Annual In Vitro Fertilization and Embry Transfer Conference, in San Diego, CA. Over 400 top professionals in the field of infertility from across the globe converged at the Hotel Del Coronado to discuss current advancements and challenges during all phases of in vitro fertilization and embryo management.
Reproductive Partners Fertility Center San Diego was the first center in San Diego County to successfully use the egg freezing technique and, since 2012, has played a key role in the steadily rising number of successful pregnancies obtained through this procedure.
Fertility specialist Dr. Irene Su recently spoke at a national workshop presented jointly by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, which took place on October 22, 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland.
RP’s Dr. Irene Su has been awarded a grant that will bolster her efforts to improve the reproductive health of young female cancer survivors. As an associate professor at UC San Diego, Dr. Su works with young cancer patients from across the county whose fertility is threatened by the effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
Dr. Su was recently awarded two grants to continue her research into cancer’s effects on reproductive health and determine how to best help affected patients.
