The laboratory staff at Reproductive Partners Fertility Center – San Diego (RPSD) is a team of highly trained embryologists. Our security in handling eggs, sperm and embryos is exceptionally meticulous, and our approach to our patients is extremely high touch. We will meet with each couple individually to discuss the results of your egg retrieval while you are at the center, and will be in constant communication with you to discuss the results of the fertilization of the eggs. At the time of the embryo transfer, we will provide a detailed embryology consultation and review of your In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) cycle. Our goal is to provide a personal touch throughout your experience and ensure you have all of the information you need.
As Senior Embryologist and Laboratory Manager, Ana Lisa Yeo utilizes her extensive experience in embryology (over 26 years) to help patients achieve their dream of having a family. She has been with RPSD since its inception in January 1998. Prior to that, she worked with Dr. David Meldrum at the Center for Advanced Reproductive Care – Redondo Beach (Reproductive Partners Medical Group – Redondo Beach). She has also worked as an embryologist with the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) program at the Singapore General Hospital in Singapore. In addition to her lab experience, Lisa has co-authored several scientific research papers.
Lisa’s specialized skills, dedication and exacting laboratory standards have contributed greatly to RPSD’s extremely high success rate. She is highly skilled in all aspects of laboratory management and IVF procedures including cryopreservation/thaw techniques. Additionally, Lisa is an expert in micromanipulation techniques such as Assisted Hatching (AH), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) and Trophectoderm Biopsy for PGD/PGS.
Lisa ensures that very high standards are met regarding all staff training, equipment and instruments. All lab work takes place in a highly controlled environment to assure the safety and security of the oocytes and embryos. She also enforces a strict protocol for the patient identification process; two members of the lab staff verify that the patient IDs match throughout every step of the process.
When Lisa is not in the lab she enjoys discovering new restaurants and cuisines with her husband, and spending valuable time with her three adult children.
