[:en]The Oncofertility Science Academy (OSA) at UC San Diego is a hands-on educational program that inspires 11th and 12th grade girls to become the next generation of scientists and physicians. OSA participants spend a rigorous summer studying the fertility and reproductive health needs of young cancer patients. Started in 2008, OSA accepts 12-15 young scientists each summer. During the program, the young women spend one session at Reproductive Partners, learning about assisted reproduction.  Led by Dr. Irene Su and Brooke Friedman, the students have hands-on experiences in ultrasound, counting sperm, observing embryo development and using hysteroscopy equipment.
